KARACHI: Death-row inmate Saulat Mirza’s wife said on Wednesday that if anything happens to any of her family members, Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) should be held responsible.

This comes after Mrs. Mirza allegedly received threatening phone calls from Canada and South Africa. According to Mrs. Mirza, the callers threatened her to be prepared for the consequences of her actions.

Mrs. Mirza had recently come out in public and poked holes in MQM’s version of events, including a tell all interview with Geo News.

About the callers, Mrs. Mirza refused to divulge any names but said they were the same people who had been assuring her of their full cooperation regarding her husband’s case.

According to Mrs. Mirza she received three calls. Two calls she says came from numbers previously known to her.

She has stressed, that if anything happens to any of her relatives, the MQM should be held responsible.
