PM Nawaz updated on Pakistanis stranded in Yemen

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on the status of Pakistanis stranded in Yemen.

Prime Minister Sharif was pleased over the completion of the first phase of evacuation in a satisfactory manner and directed that remaining Pakistanis in Yemen should be brought back home safely and as soon as possible.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on the status of Pakistanis stranded in Yemen.

Prime Minister Sharif was pleased over the completion of the first phase of evacuation in a satisfactory manner and directed that remaining Pakistanis in Yemen should be brought back home safely and as soon as possible.

During the meeting Prime Minister Sharif was informed that Pakistanis who had returned from Yemen were highly appreciative of the personal interest taken by the Prime Minister in treating their evacuation as a national priority.

It was decided that a delegation would visit Saudi Arabia today for holding discussions on the matter.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi and Secretary Foreign Affairs among other senior officers.
