Altaf discusses Yemen situation with Sirajul Haq, Fazl over telephone

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain telephoned Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq as well as chief of the Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday.

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain telephoned Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq as well as chief of the Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday.

According to sources, the latest developments in Yemen as well as Pakistan’s stance on the matter were discussed during each conversation.

The MQM chief has the point of view that Pakistan and Turkey should resolve the issue in Yemen through mediation.

Earlier today, Altaf also called out on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to immediately convene an All Parties Conference (APC) to discuss Pakistan’s involvement in Yemen.

He added that before any decisions are taken, all parties should be consulted as well as results of previous wars and Pakistan’s involvement in those wars should be presented.
