Pakistan teenager Mahin to feature in ITF championship in Thailand

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan teenager Mahin Aftab has been selected by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to perform as a part of Asian team in the ITF under-14 team championship to take place in Thailand next month, President Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Salim Saifullah Khan said on Tuesday.

Talking to media here at PTF Complex Saifullah said that Mahin would also be part of Pakistan squad that would feature in Fed Cup scheduled to be held in Hyderabad India in April. Other players to participate in Fed Cup include Bushra Sohail Sara Mansoor and Amar Qureshi he said.

Thirteen-year-old Mahin however is the only Pakistani to be selected by the ITF to perform as a part of Asian team in Thailand.

Saifullah said that PTF would send Aisam ul Haq Aqeel Khan Samir and Abid Ali Akbar to Indonesia in July this year to represent the country in Davis Cup.
