Shikarpur Shuhada Action Committee ends sit-in

KARACHI: Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, Secretary General, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) announced on Thursday, an end to the Shikarpur Shuhada Action Committee Karachi sit-in.

The Shikarpur Shuhada Action Committee was protesting since yesterday at Numaish Chowrangi in Karachi. The protesters also visited the Quaid’s mausoleum yesterday and then made their way to the Chief Minister House where they held a sit-in.

KARACHI: Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, Secretary General, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) announced on Thursday, an end to the Shikarpur Shuhada Action Committee Karachi sit-in.

The Shikarpur Shuhada Action Committee was protesting since yesterday at Numaish Chowrangi in Karachi. The protesters also visited the Quaid’s mausoleum yesterday and then made their way to the Chief Minister House where they held a sit-in.

Addressing a press conference today at the CM House attended by the Shuhada Action Committee, Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, and Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Allama Domki who is also the Chairman of the Shuhada Action Committee, reiterated that their campaign was not against the Sindh government but rather against the menace of terrorism.

Announcing a success in the talks with the Sindh government, the Chairman went on to say that he was hopeful that immediate actions will be taken according to the charter of demands that has been presented to the provincial government.

He thanked the Sindh government specially the CM for making tremendous efforts since days to make the dialogue a success.

He further said that according to the charter, a committee will be formed in Shikarpur to assess the actions of the Sindh government with regards to bringing the culprits of the tragedy to justice.
