KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart and former home minister Sindh, Zulfiqar Mirza has alleged that except a few MPAs and MNAs all other MPs belonging to his party were corrupt.

During a TV interview, Mirza, in reply to PPP Parton-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari statement, said if he (Bilawal) feels so pain he should come on the television and deny his (Mirza’s) allegations.

Mirza called Sharjeel Memon, Agha Siraj Durrani, Manzoor Wassan and Pir Mazharul Haq corrupt persons. About Khursheed Shah, Mirza said, he respects him.

Mirza only declared Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah a hardworking and clear of corruption.

On Monday, ruling out reports of rifts within the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) ranks, the party’s Bilawal claimed in a tweet that the party was united.

“Anyone claiming otherwise and speaking against the leadership is not a friend of the party,” said Bilawal.

The statement on social media comes after Zulfiqar Mirza’s reported differences with his father, the country’s former president and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Mirza, had fanned the rumours circling in the local media about differences between the top leadership of the PPP.
