17-year-old Thalassemia patient becomes Pak Army soldier for a day

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday granted the wish of a 17-year-old Thalassemia patient by making him a Pakistan Army soldier for a day.

Master Shoaib Aurangzeb, who is suffering from Thalassemia major, had expressed his desire through a letter to the COAS to become a soldier of the Pakistan Army for one day.

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday granted the wish of a 17-year-old Thalassemia patient by making him a Pakistan Army soldier for a day.

Master Shoaib Aurangzeb, who is suffering from Thalassemia major, had expressed his desire through a letter to the COAS to become a soldier of the Pakistan Army for one day.

The Army chief met Shoaib on Monday during his visit to Karachi and granted him his wish to become a part of the Pakistan Army.

The COAS inquired about his health and appreciated his spirits and resolve for the defence of the motherland.

Later Shoaib visited an army unit in Malir and spent his day with troops.
