ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan continued his criticism of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and the derogatory language he used against PTI’s female party workers.

Speaking at an event where Chaudhry Sarwar was welcomed into the PTI, Khan said, creating political awareness among women is a major achievement of his party and he could not ignore their insult.

“I was silent in the past, because the lives of PTI workers in Karachi were at risk.”

The PTI chairman commented on the Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) report as well threats to Shireen Mazari over her reaction to it. The PTI chief emphasized, that the report mentioned names of two journalists along with members of the MQM who were to be targeted. Khan added that his party was sure that Zahra Shahid was murdered by the MQM because she had spoken out against them.

The PTI chairman called on MQM workers to separate themselves from Altaf Hussain.

“I ask MQM what you would do if such language was used against your women.”
Imran Khan questioned, how educated Urdu-speaking people of Karachi could support Altaf Hussain.

The PTI chairman demanded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who consistently speaks of fighting terrorism, should take action against Altaf Hussain.

“Mian Saheb, when you met David Cameron did you not have the courage to tell him that a terrorist killing Pakistanis was living in London.”

Imran called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take immediate action against Altaf Hussain in Britain using the JIT report as its basis.

Imran Khan reiterated that the PTI would not be part of any forum where the MQM was present and called on Nawaz Sharif not to include MQM until the party separated itself from Altaf Hussain and its armed wing.

He added that the PTI will not be attending the All Parties Conference (APC) until the government takes action against Altaf Hussain.

PTI writes open letter to British High Commissioner

Later on Tuesday evening, the PTI wrote an open letter to the British High Commissioner complaining about the activities of Altaf Hussain, who holds a British passport.

Altaf Hussain is involved in violent activities and is spreading politics of hatred in Pakistan, claimed PTI in the letter.

PTI asked the British government to take notice of its citizen and his "criminal activities" in Pakistan.
