KARACHI: Two vehicles belonging to Mader-e-Milat (mother of the nation) Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah have turned to rust in the parking lot of the Sindh Information and Archives department.

The condition of these vehicles was first brought to light in 2007 when pictures were published on Pakistani automotive websites. There has been little change in their condition since as recent footage from Geo News cameras shows them in the same state as seven years ago.

The two vehicles – which include a Mercedes Benz and a Cadillac – were taken away from the Mohatta Palace for repairs several years ago and have since been slowly gathering dust. Instead of being restored and kept in a museum for their historical significance, these vehicles have been left to rot under the open sky.

Geo News has tried to contact the Sindh Information and Archives department which operates under Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon for a comment.
