ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Aviation Advisor Shujaat Azeem on Saturday rejected the sentiment that Pakistan’s airspace was unsafe. He was responding to a warning issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) last month.

Azeem told a private news channel that over 600 flights use Pakistan’s airspace and expressed satisfaction that aircraft flying over the country were safe.

The matter he said, has been discussed with French officials and clarified that the warning is not Pakistan specific but also for eight other countries, adding that air traffic over Pakistan has not been affected.
