Shah Mehmood criticizes Malik over acceptance of Sindh MPAs resignations

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday seemed perturbed by Sindh Assembly speaker Siraj Durrani’s decision to accept resignations of PTI MPAs.

Speaking to media, he said on one hand Rehman Malik requests National Assembly speaker not to accept PTI resignations while on the other he asks Sindh Assembly speaker to accept resignations of MPAs.

He said that the resignations were accepted for fear that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf might win a Senate seat with the help of opposition parties.

Qureshi said that in his opinion the PTI should contest senate election. Replying to a query, he said that the PTI was to sign an agreement with the government on December 29 but issue is still in limbo.

The PTI leader said that there was no meeting scheduled between Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan in Saudi Arabia.
