Prime Minister responsible for petrol crisis: Khurshid Shah

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah on Tuesday called on the government to initiate a probe under a Supreme Court judge into petroleum crisis.

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah on Tuesday called on the government to initiate a probe under a Supreme Court judge into petroleum crisis.

Speaking at a press conference, he asked the government to explain if the petrol crisis was a conspiracy. “If it is a conspiracy, then government must explain who is behind this conspiracy” he said.

He said that the government didn’t pay heed when he pointed towards an imminent petroleum crisis. “Prime Minister is responsible for the crisis as he himself oversees each matter,” Shah said adding that what the government had been up to and that as to why petrol was not imported on time.

He said that a requisition to convene the session of National Assembly has been submitted and the government should not wait for 15 days to call the session.
