MIRANSHAH: US drones fired a salvo of missiles into a compound in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan on Friday, killing ten people.

The attack came just four days after US Special Forces commandos shot dead al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in the garrison city of Abbottabad.

"A compound and a vehicle were targeted by US drones in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan killing ten militants," a senior security official said.

"Eight missiles were fired on the targets located close to each other," he said.

Datta Khel lies 35 kilometres (21 miles) west of Miranshah and about 450 kilometres by road from the town where bin Laden was found and killed.

Friends, Pakistanis, Countrymen it is the beginning of the end of Half-Pakistan. It is not our leaders but we who need to change. If we are not educated enough to be rational, please rush to the bunkers because we are the ONLY nuclear power in the whole wide world that threatens NUCLEAR STANDOFF at the drop of the hat.

Pakistan is in a position of damned if you do and damned if you don't. The US strategy was wrong right from the start... shock and awe bombing the hell out of Afghanistan with sealing the borders meant that the enemy dispersed across the border. There were many other ways of dealing with this issue of terrorism but in hind sight US chose the wrong solution and continues to be stubborn..... Alas! everyone is fighting there corner..... and there is no hope for peace.

This drone attack, soon after killing of Osama bin Laden, is nothing but just another slap on the face of inefficient.

Salman Bashir, the Pakistan Foreign Secretary, warned the world against any further breaches of Pakistani sovereignty. Well Mr Bashir, it is very easy to talk the walk, and not so easy to walk the walk. Show the world, which is waiting with bated breath, what you are going to do. Or are your words yesterday also history, in the same way as you said the day before, Osama Bin Laden is history?
