Govt blamed for deadlock in finalising ToRs
From Our Correspondent
OKARA: Pakistan People’s Party Punjab president Mian Manzoor Ahmad Khan Wattoo has blamed the government for deadlock in finalising the terms of reference (ToRs).
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said that the government was under misconception that it would succeed in breaking unity of the opposition by using delaying tactics in finalising the ToRs. Wattoo said that all the opposition parties, including the PPP, PTI, JI and ANP, were united. He said that the opposition might call an All Parties Conference (APC) if all hopes on finalising the ToRs were lost. To a question, Wattoo said that the PPP had received Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s invitation to join the Dharna on June 17 in Lahore to commemorate the Model Town massacre in which 14 people were killed. He said that he would participate in the PAT protest.
