24-hr surveillance of Islamabad’s entry/exit points ordered

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the Federal police to conduct 24-hour monitoring of the entry and exit points of the capital city, Islamabad.


Presiding over a meeting held to review law order situation of the country with particular focus on Islamabad, the Interior Minister directed to adopt effective measures for the security of mosques, Imam Bargahs and Madaris and to take help from intelligence agencies in this regard.


Nisar also ordered for purchasing two modern stun guns for Islamabad police and Rangers.


The Interior Minister directed the Islamabad police and Rangers to form a Quick Response Force (QRF) in one week’s time.
