Rangers vehicle targeted in Manghopir blast, 2 injured

KARACHI: Two Rangers personnel were injured when a blast hit their vehicle in Manghopir area of Karachi on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

 

According to Superintendent Police (SP) Orangi Chaudhry Asad, the Rangers mobile was on regular patrol when it was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Manghopir area.

 

As a result of the explosion, two personnel received minor injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. The injured men were identified as Sub-inspector Khalil and Naik Shakoor.

 

Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area while investigation of the incident is underway.

The only solution that comes to mind is, 1. Tighten the screws on the political parties otherwise, expose them. 2. Jack up the intelligence and merge their reports. 3. Provide sophisticated weapons and communications to the security forces. 4. Start a marketing campaign in the media against the terrorists and show the civilians what terrorists do and teach them 'do's' and dont's.' If USA can do it, so can we. The citizens are fed up.
