MIRAMSHAH: Four people were killed and two others sustained injuries in a US drone attack on a house in Miramshah in North Waziristan Agency early Tuesday, local sources said.

The sources said the US pilotless spy aircraft fired one missile targeting the house located in the middle of several houses adjacent to a Government Girls High School near the Miramshah bazaar.

Two rooms and the boundary walls of the targeted house as well as nearby houses remained intact as the missile struck the courtyard. The occupants of the house were reportedly sitting in the courtyard preparing to have Sehri, the nighttime meal before fasting, when the attack took place.

Sources said three men died on the spot and another three suffered injuries. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Residents said all slain men were local tribal militants. There was no way to independently ascertain identity of the slain militants.
