Rawalpindi: Independence Day was celebrated at Saba Homes, Gulraiz II, Chaklala, Rawalpindi.

Saba homes provide shelter to forty girls. Sha’oor society organised ‘Iftar’ for 250 people and arranged a function celebrating 14th August at Saba orphanage trust, says a press release.

Girls performed different skits with respect to Independence Day. Martial arts performance by Saba Home’s girls was the best among all. The president of Sha’oor said, “serving humanity is not a charity but a priority. Youth that forms 65% of population should play its effective rule in the social, moral and academic uplift of the society.” Certificates to volunteers and social workers were also awarded at the end of the ceremony.
