ISLAMABAD: The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has also released official documents which verify that the Punjab governor had flown to Colombo using a flight of Sri Lankan Airlines on December 5 and landed back in Karachi on December 8.

The ICAO document has landed Salmaan Taseer in serious trouble as he could face a major case for his disqualification in superior courts this week. Sri Lankan ambassador in Pakistan has already declared that Taseer travelled without his knowledge while for an official visit his permission was mandatory. Top legal experts of the country have opined that constitutional violation in case of Salmaan Taseer’s move to go abroad without intimating the Punjab government is so obvious that the high court will need no other ground to declare him ineligible for the constitutional office of the provincial governor.
