On the directive of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Health Department is ensuring health-related relief activities, day and night, among flood affectees of Dera Ghazzi Khan, Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan districts while a truck, with lifesaving medicines, has also been dispatched to affected areas.
Furthermore, 109 mobile medical teams of the Health Department are operating in the area while 203 medical camps have also been set up. According to a handout here on Saturday, a Health Department spokesman said that Secretary Health Punjab Capt. (R) Arif Nadeem himself remained in relief camps at DG Khan to personally monitor medical activities. Director General Health Dr. Nisar Ahmad Cheema also monitored medical activities on the directive of the Secretary Health.
