Ikram Sehgal, in his piece ‘Democratic farce’ (Aug 16) has correctly observed that we are hostage to a farce dominated by a powerful minority. One can note that there are politicians who keep on giving lectures on democracy day in and day out, and declare in the same breath that they belong to “the ruling class”!
Could someone please tell these politicians that in a democracy there is no place for a “ruling class”!
