The PPP, believing that it is a party of martyrs, presumably has a death wish. As if its top leadership hasn’t caused enough harm already, it decided, and unanimously by the looks of it, to make Raja Pervaiz Ashraf the new prime minister of the country. But then every nation gets the leader it deserves. Perhaps we do deserve Raja Ashraf. Now we may at least get rid of the electricity problem. Even if that doesn’t happen, we’ll get to hear promises of an end to loadshedding by so or so time.
