Incredible would be an understatement for Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s rise. It could have only happened in Pakistan. Now, the country will be led by one of the alleged architects of the energy crisis we presently face. The rental power project will always serve as a grim reminder of the levels of corruption and decadence of which exist in our country.

Ironically, after his selection for the post of prime minister, Raja announced his intention of focusing on the energy sector. What a farce!

We started with Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and ended up with Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as our new head of state. Sorry, Mr Jinnah, for doing away with whatever moral credibility we were left with.
