I want to draw the attention of the higher government authorities towards the issue of appointment of Federal Ombudsman. The said post has been lying vacant for the past more than six months. The office of the federal ombudsman is known for resolving the cases of the common man more quickly as compared to traditional courts.
Why is such an important issue, pertaining to dispensing swift justice, being ignored by the government? In a democratic set-up, such problems must be resolved in days, not in months. I humbly request the president and the prime minister to solve this issue on an immediate basis.
