Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan has been writing articles in newspapers which only project the viewpoint of his party. Being a public-office holder, he should refrain from partisan politics.
In his present capacity, he represents as much the party in power as the opposition parties. Should he feel strongly to project only his party’s stance, it would be appropriate and ethical for him to leave his government job. He could then be as much partisan in his approach as he likes.
