PESHAWAR: The public and private sector medical and dental colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are set to start registration for the entry test simultaneously in Peshawar and Abbottabad today (Thursday).


Arrangements have been made for the registration process that would continue till July 17 at the Institute of Physical Medicine, Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar and the Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad.


The entry test would be held at the Kernel Sher Khan Stadium, Peshawar and Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad on July 24. It would be jointly organised by the Khyber Medical University and the Educational Testing & Evaluation Authority (ETEA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


“Khyber Medical College will provide logistic support including registration of the candidates while the ETEA would set papers, conduct examination and prepare and declare the results,” a senior official of the Khyber Medical University Prof Dr Shad Mohammad told reporters about the arrangements for the registration and holding of the entry test.


He said proper measures had been adopted to provide maximum facilities to the students regarding registration. Six counters, including two exclusively for female students, have been opened for the registration, he informed. The registration process would continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Except the coming Sunday the registration would be made on all the days including the final Sunday (July 17), he added. He said registration forms were available at nine branches of the Muslim Commercial Bank in Peshawar and three branches of the same bank in Abbottabad at a cost of Rs1,200.
