Salala checkpost martyr’s father says he is proud of his sacrifice

MANSEHRA: The father of Captain Mohammad Usman, who was martyred in the Nato forces’ attack on the Salala checkpost in Mohmand Agency about four years ago, said on Thursday that he was proud of his son.
“I feel proud attending this ceremony being held in honour of my son Usman,” stated Mohammad Bashir while speaking at the Pakistan Scouts Cadet College, Batrasi in connection with fourth anniversary of the Salala attack.
Mohammad Usman had done his F Sc from Pakistan Scout Cadet College located in the wooded Batrai area in Mansehra district and got commissioned later in the Pakistan Army. He was killed along with other officers and soldiers in the attack on the Salala checkpost on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on November 26, 2011.
Captain Usman’s mother and brother also attended the ceremony and laid the floral wreath at the memorial built for the martyr.Speaking on the occasion, the college principal Brigadier (Retd) Abdul Hafiz (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) said the faculty and staff of his college were proud of such brave cadets of his institution who laid down their lives for their motherland and were presently serving at the battlefront.
