PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday granted bail to one serving and a former vice-chancellor and another official.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Irshad Qaiser granted bail to Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Vice-Chancellor Dr Ihsan Ali and Hazara University’s former vice-chancellor Dr Syed Sakhawat Shah and former registrar Mukarram.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had arrested them for misuse of authority. The PHC division bench also granted bail to two other accused, including former minister Murid Kazim and bureaucrat Asmatullah.
