PESHAWAR: Daughters of a slain schoolteacher, Syed Jameel Shah, on Saturday asked the provincial government to provide them protection against their relatives who allegedly want to snatch their property and other assets.
Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Syeda Javeria Shah, daughter of Syed Jameel Shah, a schoolteacher who was killed in Nowshera some time ago, said that her paternal uncle had allegedly snatched their car and now he was planning to grab their property.
Flanked by her three other sisters, Javeria Shah said that her uncle Jamal Shah and grandmother had made forged papers to snatch their father’s property, car, and even pension.
She also accused the police of siding with her uncle.
They had threatened her mother and them of dire consequences if they tried to get their property and belongings back, she added.
Javeria Shah, a student of grade-9, appealed to Peshawar High Court chief justice, KP chief minister and inspector general of police (IGP) to provide justice and protection to her family.
