PESHAWAR: An employee of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has alleged corruption in the board’s affairs and demanded transfer of the incumbent chairman.
The Academic Assistant BISE, Momin Khan, told a press conference on Monday that the board chairman had been transferred on deputation but he embezzled funds in the construction of a boundary wall and purchased unnecessary stationery worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
He said the chairman also appointed his two nephews without following any rules and without advertising the vacancies. Momin Khan also accused the chairman of appointing unnecessary staff for examination duties and transferring some clerks on key posts for his vested interests.
He said the chairman appointed his relatives and gave marks to students in examination papers after taking bribe from them. Claiming to have proof of the allegations made by him, he asked the government to hold investigation against the chairman.
