NOWSHERA: A man shot dead his brother over a petty issue in Shaido area in the limits of Akora Khattak Police Station on Saturday, official sources said.
Perveen Bibi reported to the police that her brother-in-law Mir Salam opened fire on her husband Mir Siyaf after an exchange of harsh words, killing him on the spot. The accused managed to flee the scene.
The police registered the case and started an investigation.
Meanwhile, a man was killed and another injured when armed men opened fire on them inside their shop in Shireen Kotay area in Risalpur, police said on Saturday.
They said that Jalal and his father Ibrahim shot and injured Abid and his nephew Abdullah inside their shop in Shireen Kotay area in Risalpur.
The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital where Abid succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the incident was stated to be a monetary dispute.
Our correspondent in Ghallani adds: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a man in Prang Ghar tehsil in Mohmand Agency on Friday night, sources said.
They said that one Rahim Shah was on his way home in Spinkai Salay when unidentified gunmen fired at him, killing him on the spot. The accused managed to flee the scene.
The officials of Levies force registered the case and started investigation.
Our correspondent in Mansehra adds: A man and his two sons were killed when a car plunged into ravine in Chattarplain area of the district, police said on Saturday.
They said the driver lost control over the steering while negotiating a sharp turn as a result of the vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a ravine.
The dead were identified as Abbas Ali Shah and his sons Ilyas Shah and Saif Ali Shah.
The local people and policemen rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the hospital in Shinkiari.
