PESHAWAR: The police on Monday arrested alleged killers of four sisters along with two other accomplices from Telaband Badaber area.
“Constable Fazal Hussain, his father Fazal Qadir, their relative Zia who provided them shelter, and a taxicab driver Ibrahim were arrested during an action in Telaband area of Badaber,” Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Mian Saeed Ahmad told reporters on Monday.
The official said the weapons used in the murder of four sisters were also recovered from the accused.The Gulfat Hussain Shaheed Police Station had lodged the first information report in the murder of four sisters against police constable Fazal Hussain and his father Fazal Qadir under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The accused had shot dead four sisters, Rani, Samrin, Farhana, Ruqayya, two of them married, in the street and inside their home. Son of one of the women was wounded in the firing just before Iftar on Saturday.
According to police officials, the accused had some property dispute as well as other issues with the girls’ father Mohammad Iqbal. Accused in Shangla cop killing case arrested: An accused, who allegedly shot dead a constable a day earlier and injured another in Oluoch area, was arrested Monday in Chakesar area in Puran tehsil, police said.
They said that the Chakesar police arrested the accused Raheedullah during a search operation and handed him over to the Oluoch police. The accused had allegedly kidnapped a girl and kept her hostage at his house in Oluoch. He opened fire on the police when they raided his house to recover the girl.
