Upper Kurram in dark for 5 days

PARACHINAR: The power supply to parts of upper parts of Kurram Agency was remained suspended for the fifth consecutive day on Thursday as the power pylon uprooted in a windstorm were yet to be repaired.
The power supply to Parachinar, the headquarters of Kurram Agency, and Samir and Gosar areas had been disconnected after four electricity pylons of the main transmission line were uprooted by windstorm five days back.
The residents are facing hardships due to non-supply of power as it led to scarcity of drinking water in the houses. The residents have asked the officials of the Tribal Electricity Supply Company and political administration to repair the damaged power pylons to restore power supply to the areas.
