Afghan soldier operated upon at Bajaur hospital

KHAR: A soldier of the Afghan National Army underwent surgery at the Agency Headquarters Hospital on Saturday for appendicitis.
The soldier, Bashir, was shifted to the hospital at Khar after he complained of pain during duty hours in the border area in Kunar province of Afghanistan.
His colleagues contacted the Pakistani soldiers deployed at a checkpost in the border area. They shifted the Afghan soldier to the Agency Headquarters Hospital at Khar where he was operated upon.
Commandant of Bajaur Scouts Colonel Mir Amir Ali visited the hospital to inquire after the health of the Afghan soldier. He also presented him a bouquet of flowers.
The Afghan soldier thanked the Pakistani security forces for care and hospitality.
