PESHAWAR: Political Adviser to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari for Fata, Akhunzada Chattan, Wednesday warned of boycotting Senate election if the Election Commission failed to control sale and purchase of ballots in the upcoming Senate polls.
Addressing a news conference here at the Peshawar Press Club, he urged the members of National Assembly from Fata and other political leaders to take effective steps for eradicating this negative trend in the political system.
The former MNA said that sale of ballots in the Senate polls was main topic of discussion across the country. Huge amount of money is used to get berth in the upper house of the parliament. He also urged PTI chairman to take measures for ensuring transparent Senate elections in KP.
