Girl arrested for making extortion calls

PESHAWAR: A first year girl student was arrested by the local police for making phone calls to well-off Peshawarites for extortion, a source said. It was learnt that the Faqirabad Police started investigation after a citizen Zahir Gul received extortion calls. The caller had demanded Rs one million extortion.

PESHAWAR: A first year girl student was arrested by the local police for making phone calls to well-off Peshawarites for extortion, a source said.
It was learnt that the Faqirabad Police started investigation after a citizen Zahir Gul received extortion calls. The caller had demanded Rs one million extortion. The police launched the investigation. It traced out the location and nabbed the caller, who proved to be a first year girl student using a voice changer.
The police said the female (L) told the investigators that she had some issue with Zahir Gul over a cheque.The girl said she made the call for fun and had not collected any money.Investigators suspected the nabbed girl had an accomplice as well.
