LAKKI MARWAT: A senior administrative official has expressed concern over increasing number of polio refusal cases and said poor performance of the Health Department and other relevant organisations is the real cause of it.
Deputy Commissioner Ihsanullah Khan stated this while chairing a meeting of district polio eradication committee at his office on Thursday. “All is well in the papers and documents but there are no signs of any constructive activity on the ground to address refusal cases,” he said.
The official added that the health officials and representatives of health organisations were repeatedly directed to chalk out a plan in coordination with the district administration for addressing refusal cases in the district but to no avail.
