KOHAT: A man beheaded his one-month-old son after an argument with his wife over a domestic dispute, police sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that Zubair Ahmed had an argument with his wife, Basmina, over a domestic issue in Bazikhel area. Basmina told the police that her husband lost temper during the quarrel and beheaded his son.
The locals overpowered the accused and handed him over to the police. The accused reportedly regretted killing his son in a statement to police.Our correspondent in Dera Ismail Khan adds: The bodies of three men were found dumped in fields in Sherokehna village in limits of the Dera Town Police Station, police said on Thursday.
They said the bodies were dumped in the fields and the locals informed the police.The police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a hospital for autopsy. The ages of the dead were said to be between 30-35 years. The police lodged the case and started investigation.
Two Afghan terror suspects arrested in action in Peshawar: The Counter-Terrorism Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Thursday arrested two terror suspects belonging to Afghanistan in the city and recovered explosives and other materials used in the bomb blasts.
Official sources told The News that a team of the Counter-Terrorism Department raided an area situated on the Dauranpur Road in limits of the Paharipura Police Station. After hours-long operation, the sources said, the officials arrested the two terrorists. They were later identified as Wazir, son of Jan and Sher Khan, son of Hazrat Said, Afghan nationals.
The officials claimed that 10.984 kg explosives and four detonators were recovered from their possession. After preliminary investigation, the officials said the Afghan nationals disclosed that they were plotting a terrorist activity in Mardan district today (Friday). The officials said that the arrested terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
