Student among 4 killed in Landikota

LANDIKOTAL: Four persons were killed and six others injured in two incidents in various areas of Landikotal in Khyber Agency on Monday, an official said.
Assistant Political Agent of Landikotal Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah told The News that two groups hailing from Afridi tribe traded fire over installation of a cabin-shop in Sheikhwal area of Landikotal.
As a result, he said three persons from both sides were killed in the gunfire and as many injured critically.
The slain persons were identified as Abaadkhel, Sher Zaman, and Gul Wali while Hakeem and Asfandyar and Saddiq sustained critical injuries.
The injured were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.
Soon after the incident, Khasadars and Levies personnel rushed to the site and controlled the situation. They also managed to affect a ceasefire between the rival groups.
In the second incident, a student of Landikotal Degree College was killed and two others seriously injured when two groups scuffled over distribution of tour money.
The sources said that three students identified as Basit Khan, Waleed and Fazle Haq sustained injuries when they were attacked with daggers by other fellow students.
