CM phones Saudi envoy

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday phoned the ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad and expressed grief on the demise of King Abdullah.
In his condolence message, he said Pakistan lost a great well-wisher. He paid tribute to the deceased’s efforts for the wellbeing of the Muslim Ummah and love for Pakistan.
Pervez Khattak said people and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were deeply shocked on the death of King Abdullah. “We equally share the grief with Saudi brethren because we have religious and spiritual attachment with the sacred land, people and rulers of Saudi Arabia,” he added.
He also offered his condolences to the new Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on the death of King Abdullah. He welcomed King Salman’s message about unity of the Muslim Ummah.
While felicitating King Salman on becoming Khadim Harmain Sharifain and Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz as crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Pervez Khattak expressed good wishes for their success and hoped Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations would strengthen further.
