PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police authorities have set deadline for all the shoulder-promoted officers to remove their additional badges after which a strict action would be taken, said the spokesman for the KP Police on Tuesday.

The spokesman clarified a story and said that due to shortage of senior police officers some 19-grade officers have been posted as regional DIGs but they are wearing own original ranks while performing duties and no violation has been reported so far in this connection. The spokesman also informed that the federal government has been approached several times for overcoming the shortage of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa senior police officers and hoped that this problem could also be solved very soon.

The spokesman made it clear that all shoulder-promoted officials were being reverted to original ranks and no one is being denied due rights and there is no biased treatment as reported in the media.
