PESHAWAR: A local leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Nowshera district quit the party and announced joining the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q).

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Gohar Zaman who was Nowshera district secretary general of the PTI, said that he parted ways with party chief Imran Khan due to his dual policies and for backing out on the promise to fight corruption in the country.

He said the PTI chairman has handed over the party to the corrupt politicians and allowed the turncoats and opportunists to join him. He said that various groups emerged in the party and the intra-party differences were also one of the factors that forced him to quit the PTI.
