BANNU: Opposition leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Akram Khan Durrani said on Sunday that political awareness in the masses was a sign of mature nation and now they could differentiate between the friends and foes.
Addressing a public gathering, the former chief minister said leaders and workers of other political parties were joining the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) because of its pro-Islam and people-friendly policies.
He told the participants that former inspector general of police Dil Jan Khan Marwat along with their relatives and friends would announce joining the JUI-F in a gathering in Lakki Marwat today.
About the sacrilegious movie produced in the US, Akram Durrani said the anti-Islam forces were out to hurt the feelings and emotions of the Muslims by making blasphemous films and caricatures. “We will sacrifice our lives for the sanctity of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) but never tolerate such actions,” he added.He asked the Muslim world to display unity and prevent such actions in future.
