GHAZI: The police recovered bodies of three coalminers and booked the contractor for running the illegal coalmine in Padara village in Tarbela on Friday, sources said.
The sources said that the workers identified as Muhammad Shahid and Umar Sufaid hailing from Shangla district and Asif Khan, resident of Nowshera district, were killed in the coalmine being mined by the contractor Lal Khan.
They said the contractor shifted the bodies to Hassanabdal to hush up the case, but the police raided a house there and recovered the bodies.The police registered the case against the contractor.
Talking to The News, ASP Wahid Mehmood said that the contractor Lal Khan was running the coalmine illegally.He said the contractor was arrested in the recent past and sent to prison for running the coalmine illegally. He added that the contractor managed to get bail from the court and started mining the coalmine again.
