Vice-Chancellor Dr Jehandar Shah was the chief guest and noted poets Professor Abaseen Yousafzai, Israr Atal, Liaqat Soz and the local poets besides hundreds of students attended themushaira. The poets enthralled the audience with their Pashto poetry.

Speaking on the occasion, VC Jehandar Shah said that efforts would be made to further develop the university. He assured the guest poets and the audience that Pashto department would be established in the university.
