PESHAWAR: Prof Dr Nisar Khan and Dr Zafar Iqbal Ali were unanimously elected as President and General Secretary, respectively, of the Pakistan Chest Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter in its biannual elections.
A press release on Friday said elections were held under the supervision of Prof Arshad Javed, Chief Executive of the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.It said chest physicians from all over the province took part in the elections.
Dr Taj Muhammad was elected vice-president, Dr Shahid Afridi joint secretary, Dr Munawwar Zaman as clinical secretary, Dr Mubashir Ahmed as finance secretary and Dr Rizawan Bashir as press & information secretary, the press release said.
The members of the executive committee included Prof Dr Abdur Rab Khan, Dr Karim Khan, Dr Shahjehan, Dr Abdul Khaliq, Dr Muhammad Tariq, Dr Mazhar Ali Shah, Dr Fazale Khaliq, Dr Arif Safi and Dr Shaukat Ali.
