NOWSHERA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released Rs160 million for the implementation of the potable water project to provide clean drinking water to four union councils in Nowshera Kalan, officials said on Tuesday.

 

Officials of the Public Health Department, briefing the office-bearers of the Awami National Party (ANP) in Nowshera, said the new clean drinking water project would benefit more than 0.15 million people in the area.

 

They said the old rusty pipelines carrying water to the households would be replaced with the new ones to distribute clean water to the consumers.The officers, including Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Faisal Khan and engineer of the project, Inam Khan, said work on the scheme would start in the next few days.
