PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department has urged the people to submit complaints to the newly established Inquiry and Complaint Section to have their grievances addressed.

A handout issued on Tuesday said that the Complaint Section was operational and could be moved against any unlawful practice or corrupt officials by submitting an application along with a copy of the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) of the complainant and documentary proof, if there was any, to the secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Civil Secretariat in Peshawar.

The communiqué said effective and instant measures would be taken in view of the complaints. However, it warned the department would take legal action against the individuals found misleading the Complaint Section by furnishing wrong information or levelling baseless allegations. “The aim of the Complaint Section is to curb corruption, probe departmental irregularities and bring the corrupt officials to book,” it added.
