MANSEHRA: The Catholic Relief Service (CRS) on Thursday announced to end its activities after completion of projects in the target union councils of the district under its Integrated Education Programme.

 

In this connection, a farewell party was organised in Bhogarmang and attended by project manager Shah Saud, programme manager Malik Saeed Akhtar and a large number of local people.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Saud lauded the role and cooperation extended by the people and parents teachers’ associations to his team during their stay in the district.He said the CRS had completed reconstruction of 46 schools and imparted training to 163 male and 68 female teachers in target union councils.

 

Under the project, he said, 71 male and 28 female parents teachers associations were also set up to enhance the enrolment of children and address issues faced by the teachers and schoolchildren in target areas.The local people thanked the CRS team for its services and uplift projects in education, water and sanitation sectors.
