IIU, AIU agree on cooperation

Islamabad: International Islamic University (IIU) and Ashrafia Islamic University (AIU) Lahore have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation, including Arabic courses, while IIU will offer cooperation for the launch of such courses.
The development came during a meeting held at AIU which was attended by the IIU delegation headed by President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.
The meeting was a follow up review of the developments regarding MoU of cooperation which was signed between both universities.
The meeting was also attended by Head Jamia Ashrafia Maulana Fazl-ur-Raheem and its Heads of departments, while the IIUI delegation/committee members include Dr. Tahir Hakeem of the Faculty of Shariah and Law, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Bashir of the Faculty of Arabic, Dr Muhammad Munir of the Shariah Academy, Dr. Sohail Hassan of the Dawah Academy, Advisor to the IIU President Hafiz Azizur Rehman and Nasir Fareed of P&PR department. Maulana Fazl-ur-Raheem represented the committee on behalf of AIU.
It was decided in the meeting that Aima training courses would be launched for the AIU students and Dr. Sohail Hassan would supervise developments on the project.
